Women have sex sooner, men catch up eventually :)
We asked our users their age when they had sex for the first time.
Women, on an average, had sex earlier than men, beating men at most ages. We think this might be because:
- They mature faster than boys
- They get pressured from older boys to ‘do it’.
73% males and 81% females had sex by the time they turn 19. There is a big spike between the ages of 16-18, which is expected as everyone comes of age.
Even though women started early, men eventually caught up once they were 22. Almost everyone eventually ended up having sex :).
24% of users told us that they actually regret their first sex - which is a pretty high number. I guess people just need to be more careful with who they ‘start out’ with.
15% of the users actually did not have sex until they were married - which is interesting because 92% of all users had sex by the time they were 24. So a majority of them actually got married early in their lives.
